灰度照明分為直射照明和漫射照明兩種。

所謂直射照明就是光源的反射光直接進入相機鏡頭，而漫射照明，亦稱散亂光照明，就是光源的反射光不直接進入鏡頭，而是經(jīng)過多級反射后進入鏡頭。

兩種照明的光路具體形式如圖1所示。

而對于同一個物體的拍攝，在直射照明和漫射照明兩種照明條件之下所得到的圖像差別是比較大的。如圖2所示，為同一物體在直射和漫射兩種照明方式下所獲得的圖像。
